As a wife I have always thought that though God has give both husbands and wives responsibilities and mine is not so simple yet husbands have the bigger share of the responsibilities. Especially that part where you must die as Christ died! Quite a tough one!

Give honour to your wives! – Your role as a Husband.

An interesting one!

It means by dictionary definition that you must treat her with respect; don’t shun her opinion and do not over look her suggestions.

It also means worth, make her feel especial. Do not treat her as you would anyone else or even less than others. She must be of great worth to you.

Others must respect or honour your wife because of the way you treat her.

So Dear Husband, if your wife has a low self esteem, check how you treat her.

1 Peter 3:7 NLT

In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
