23 – For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Your husband is your head! Writing part 3 has been such a tough task for me. Infact initially i wanted to skip verse 23 and go straight to 24. But the Holy Spirit wont let me. Cos am also working on myself.
Its kinda difficult to accept that your husband is your king, you super hero, your saviour and your “Christ on earth” lol… however thats what the scripture says. You cannot have a full functional role as a wife if you do not value your husbands place in your life. If you do not submit to his Authority.
You cannot enjoy your husband if you dont recognise his lordship as saviour, satisfer, sanctifer and lover as Christ is for the Church. He might not be submitting totally to Christ. But be honest with yourself are you also totally submitted to Christ? We all have our issues when it comes to our relationship with Christ. So yours is to Obey and let God do his work on him.
In a nutshell your husband must be respected, our role as wives is to respected them and make them feel important and leave the rest to God. As God sees our obeidence to his word in 23 he will reward us. Just as the church is rewarded for it obeidence. Yours it to submit no conditions attached!
Be his cheer leader, his encourager, his friend and companion and you will begin to enjoy your role as a wife.
